| General Usage | |||||||
Storyboards are useful to communicate your vision to others. While there are many different schools of thought that define and shape the use and creation of storyboards, the best thing you can do is view many different types of them and adapt what works best for your own purposes. |

| All storyboards address visual information as it is revealed over time and have this in common: | |||||||
• composition within the image frame is displayed clearly (note the aspect ration of the frame used in the drawings) • the subject matter is pictured in the frame and denotes "visual weight" • camera movements/treatments of the subject within the frame (notes or arrows describing zooms or pans or static close ups, etc.) are included • important elements are noted that effect the understanding of the visual such as sound effects (SFX) or dialogue |

| Assemblage for on-line display | |||||||
| Using Adobe Acrobat, you will assemble scanned or digitally crated pages of your storyboards into one file for uploading to the web server. | |||||||
| 1) Prepare your files (whether scanning or renaming) in an order that can be accurately assembled into Acrobat pages. For example - scan in pages form your sketch book, naming each page as "page 1, page 2, etc.". If you have already created complete storyboards using MSWord - one file - named anything you wish - is sufficient. |
