reference material *General Information and links for using AVID Xpress-DV Pro*

The three AVIDs are the PC's with dual monitors along the wall to the right in room 503. The following directions are needed to work at these stations. This information will allow you to import video into the AVID, compile animation frames into movies, and print animations/video to video tape. Please read and carefully follow each step for a successful operation.

Capturing Video Video comes on many formats. The formats the lab supports are: mini-DV, S-VHS, VHS. Capturing mini-DV on the AVID Xpress-DV Pro Capturing S-VHS or VHS on the AVID Xpress-DV Pro	Printing to Tape Printing to mini-DV tape on the AVID Xpress-DV Pro Printing to S-VHS or VHS tape on the AVID Xpress-DV Pro


Importing and Compiling Animation Frames sd Importing Sequences on the AVID Xpress-DV Pro	Exporting Files sd Exporting files to Quicktime for use on the web and in the lab Exporting files to Sorenson Squeeze for MPEG2 video DVD format
